Hi All,I am sprint and hillclimbing a Rover 100 with a 160VVC. As we have fitted adapters we have a variable amount of PCD which allows use to use 15" wheels,,with a bit of modification to the wheelarches! So,now i want to upgrade the brakes..not looking for drilled or vented..we want them to get warmer, not colder..any suggestions ? like MGF?
Cheers
Brake upgrade
Re: Brake upgrade
as far as I remember the MGF front brakes are identical to the vented K-series metro setup, but maybe the MGF trophy brakes fit? I dont know, but I believe they are bigger.
interesting route to take, using 15" wheels as a set of good uprated pads with the standard disks and callipers are commonly accepted as being very good. It will be exciting to see what you put together and how it works.

Re: Brake upgrade
Very interested in the variable pcd adapters you are using... do you have more information?

Re: Brake upgrade
Hello Guys, weve done a season with this car in its current set up..so its now time to uprate the brakes..reason to go 15" was availability of tyres..Toyo 888Rs..looks like straightforward MGF would be a good initial step..I have read that trophy brakes require 16" wheels..but external dimension is irrelevant i think..internal is what matters..i.e. to cleard discs and calipers..and can be machined to fit!..this is not a road car..and is trailered to events..would like to post some photos, but not sure how..I"ll keep you posted...Oh..adapters from an engineering company in Cornwall..same guys who supplied the adapter plates for the PG1 g.Box..is his name Mike Satur?? it was a year ago,i"ll check it out
