Model Marks

Post by MetroLand »

Hello
Ok, I know about MK1 and MK2 - though MK2 was really just a facelift wasn't it?

MK3 - Is that the XP? Running from 1990 with the K series engine.

MK4 - is that the R100, or the fuel injected Metros?

Just wondered.

mk1 - 1980 - 1985. square headlamps. straight bonnet front edge. always metal bumpers. simple dash. not always vented disks.
mk2 - 1985 - 1990. mostly plastic bumpers. updated headlamps, bonnet and grille. much more modern dash board. always vented disks.
mk3 - 1990 - 1994. rover metro. all gti models. much updated compared to the mk2, but shares much of the rear metal panels, completely different front end.
mk4 - 1994 - 1998. rover 100 new even rounder front end. headlamps, bumper, bonnet and grille updated. no gti models

nice collection :)I too prefer the a-series for its simplicity and also I like the a-series engine.
if you feel like it you could create a journal for letting us know what work you do on your car.
