Hydra gas off, knuckle out. The new knuckles come with a nylon end which I assume is supposed to fit into the socket in the arm. It does not. Is this due to excessive rust build up in the arm or have I bought the wrong one. With a quick Dremel it would fit.

Clean the hole out properly, its prob got some of the old
nylon cup left in the hole, whilst the suspension is out, its worth
checking any freeplay in the top arm bearings, they tend to get
missed as far as greasing them, as the grease nipple is a pain to
get to. Any freeplay means they need replacing.
If you want to improove the setup, you can fit the top arms
from a MGF and fit the roller-ball joints that they use, its a better
setup than the ball and cup that the metro/mini uses.

Hiya, haven't got the 20vt, sold it a few years ago, wish I'd kept it., I would've dropped the diesel
crank in it and upped it to a 2.0ltr, it would've utilised the big port head that was on it better than
the 1.8 did, although it did go well as a 1.8.
Reyland have done it with his MGZR, that started as a 1.820vt,
we reckon its pushing around 380+bhp now.
I've been sussing out how EV's work, getting my head around KWh, KW, Batt range, types, weight,
motors, controllers, etc, my daughter has a new Tesla Model 3, It blew me away, its all completely
new, mega performance, 350 miles+ and only £16 quid to fill it up, what's not to like?.
There is a salvage model 3 on ebay for under £8K, but its only got the 50kw battery pack, but it's still
a good price to use the bits to convert a car, as you could recoup a fair bit by selling the bits you don't
need, I would like the 100kw batt pack, as I could use some batteries as solar storage to run the car
for nothing.
