My 1993 1.1 carb metro will soon need a new clutch cable as it's starting to "bind" a bit - it has the square-holed nylon bit at the pedal end and the large metal ball at the actuator end - where it goes through the bulkhead it has an auto-adjust spring mechanism - my question is - what's the correct part number? - I've noticed a few about and don't want the wrong thing.

Yes - I've ordered one brand new described - "New Clutch cable FKC1050 QCC1369, VJC 779 Rover 100, metro 90-97" - £7.99 all in with free delivery. Cheap eh?

Seems very cheap yes. If it fits and works i would buy and extra at that price. Not that they break very often but you never know if they will be available the next time you need one.

Yes....that's what I thought. That's why I am carrying the old clutch cable wound up inside the spare wheel along with a lever to enable me to fit it if the new one unexpectedly fails. If it works for a few months I'll start to trust it.
