Gearbox

I have an opportunity to buy a 4 speed r65 gearbox. The seller can find no codes stamped on it. What I'd like to know is what the likely final drive ratio is. I've done lots of searching but can only find information on the 5 speed box.

R65
1 3.417
2 1.947
3 1.333
4 1.104
5 0.854
Final drives.
Normal = 3.5:1
Close = 3.7:1 (GTi/GTa & R216)
R214 = 3.9:1
I took this info from the old forum. I would Guess a 4 speed box is just a 5 speed without the 5-th gear.

I have a r216 box it it just a case of changing the gear linkage to fit it ?
