HYDRAGAS

Post by ICEFANTAS6 »

Hi, i would need the system hydragas for my rover 114 gti (year 1990). in Italy there aren't spare parts and my mechanic adivses me to tear down my car, but for me it's a special car.
Is there a metod to repair hydragas ?
Used parts or new parts?
Please, help me.

Hi there, Depending on what is gone you can repair, there are companies online that offer nitrogen refils or you can just get some replacement cans and change them over, it's a simple job to do.
"But it's only a Metro!

Thanks devon.. My problem is that the rear units hydragas lose liquid. I try to reload the system, but after two days, the car was on the ground.
I read on ebay that "mikesaturn" repair hydragas unit, you of the club metropower how do you it when you have these problem ?
what do you mean with nitrogen refills?
If you have any links to consult , it would be a great help.
Forgive me for my bad english, and thanks to your answer

if it is the cans them selves that are leaking you can buy used cans.
Try putting up an advert on the metropower facebook page or in the wanted section.
if its a k-series car (mk3 or mk4) the cans from a mgf fit.

My rover has a 1.4 serie k singlepoint 95hp, year 1990. I did not understand if only the front ones or the rear ones are compatible or if all four units are compatible. Thanks for the answer.
not talking very well English it is really difficult to find information.

both are compatible. people use the mgf units when upgrading non-gti mk3 or mk4 metros due to the mgf units being harder than the standard metro/rover 100 units.
The front mgf units go in the back of the metro and the back mgf units go in the front of the metro.

Meanwhile, thanks for all the clarifications.
