hi, thanks for the reply , i think your talking about the 3a's to 5a's guide , However this is a phase one gti so does not have any 3a's

is there any way to tell which wire is sill up/sill down without a wire diagram

been looking all day for a rave covering the gti spi but no luck whats so ever.

The later cars with rover alarm, have the same 4 wires you have, plus a 5 wire that I think it white which is the remove from the 5as. all 5 wires direct to the 3as or 5as alarm unit so the alarm box knows if the car is locked or unlocked.

Hope that helps.

Why dont you fit the Maplin central locking kit, the CDL motors are far superior to the Rover ones.
