brake pads for a-series

hello.
does any of you know the difference between these three different pads for the front of a-series metros as I soon need new pads for my racer and the ones I have now which are kevlar pads does not seem to be available any more.
from minispares.com:
C-STR987 - carbon metalic pads
C-8G8994 - which is MINTEX M1144 pads
GBP258ULTIMAX - guessing this is ebc ultimax pads
my guess would be that the carbon metallic pads needs to be to hot to work properly when I use them for hill climbing. I think the m1144 and the ultimax pads are very simular but what do you think?

I asked minispares about the pads and found that the carbon metalic pads are of the make performance friction and that they are called compound 11. The makers website says that the pads work well from cold and then improved a bit when warmer but unfortunately they dont have a friction graph or any numbers on their site.

Whilst not the exact same pad, this experience of the Minispares carbon metalic pads should point you in the right direction.
http://www.16vminiclub.com/forums/showt ... 87&page=53ok so a little follow up report on the carbon metallic pads after a long (2+hours) drive on various roads including fast b roads, country lanes and motorway. So far the main downside is they don't work well from cold and need heat in them to work. this is great on a twisty country road where you can keep the heat in and will be fantastic on the track. The problem is normal road driving, you have rubbish brakes for the first half a mile so need to get them warm quickly, and if you do some dual carriageway or motorway driving the brakes can cool down enough to a point where an emergency braking situation on the motorway could be dangerous. So for these reasons I will be swapping back to the mintex 1144 pads for the road

strange that they say the mintex 1144 pads work good from cold when the friction graph I can find says they are significantly worse cold that warmed up. I have never tried the mintex 1144 pads myself but maybe I should buy a set for the road metro to test them.
I am not worried about brake fade as they are during their trackdays as I in my hill climbing I only drive a very short amount of time.
The other day I had a look in my pile of used stuff and found that I had actually previously purchased both a set of green stuff, red stuff, ebc ultimax and the carbon metalic pads and now I am in doubt which pads I have on the car. what a stupid problem to have
