Wayne Keggan's Track Rover 114 GTA

Wayne's Rover 114 GTA is a real head turner and a favourite here at Metropower. With it's awesome track stance, 160 VVC engine under the bonnet and an endless spec list, this one is a giant killer! Here Wayne tells the story of how the car came to be, in his own words.

''My love for Rover begun almost 10 years ago at the age of 18 when i purchased my first VVC powered Rover 114 GTa. It was fast, fun and turned heads wherever I went, I think that was the attraction for me. After almost 4 years i decided to part ways with it moving on to a Clio 172 Cup and then on to an Integra Type R, none of which gave me the same sense of excitement as my old GTa gave me. Fast forward to April 2014 and I decided it was time to go back to my roots, the car had to be a GTa and it had to be fast!

When I eventually found the right car, work began quickly, I knew exactly what i wanted to build. Over the coming months the car I’d built over and over in my head started to take shape, my dream of owning a track orientated Rover 114 GTa was becoming a reality.''
